The Healing Place
The Healing Place is a long-term, peer-driven, residential recovery program offered free of charge to men and women suffering from substance use disorders.
THE CHALLENGE
Our region is grappling with a substance use crisis, marked by alarming increases in fentanyl and alcohol-related deaths in recent years. Nearly half of individuals experiencing substance use disorder who do not seek treatment cite cost as the primary barrier.
OUR SOLUTION
The Healing Place provides free, on-demand residential recovery services in the greater Richmond area.
Most participants complete the self-paced educational component of the program within 6-8 months, during which time they work through the Recovery Dynamics curriculum, an abstinence-based program modeled on the 12-Step framework of Alcoholics Anonymous.
After completion of the curriculum, The Healing Place participants move to Works, a six-week workforce development initiative.
After commencement from Works, alumni may move into our transitional sober living community, as well as participate in an active Alumni Association to support lifelong sobriety.
