Furniture Bank

CARITAS Furniture Bank

The CARITAS Furniture Bank provides essential household items to individuals and families transitioning from homelessness or crisis situations.

THE CHALLENGE

Securing housing is just one hurdle—turning an empty space into a true home is another. For individuals and families transitioning from crisis to stability, the lack of essential furniture and household goods can make daily life difficult and even jeopardize their ability to remain housed. A bed to sleep on, a table to share meals, and basic kitchen supplies are the foundation for rebuilding lives with dignity and stability.

OUR SOLUTION

Collect donations of gently used furniture and household goods from the community.
Organize and arrange furniture into a showroom for clients to “shop” for essential home items with the help of volunteers.
Work with more than 50 partner agencies that refer individuals and families in need of furniture.
Offer both curbside and in-home delivery services.
